The Beginning

This is a new blog. Sort of. The old one, which was hosted at Dreamhost, suddenly disappeared without warning. With it also went away countless insignificant posts written by a fictional character called Crafted Packets.

So, what’s new? First, this one is on an AWS EC2 instance. It was a micro one, and I am taking advantage of their free tier program (a micro instance AMI, a maximum of 750 hours per month usage, et cetera).

Secondly, I created the theme myself. If it isn’t obvious enough, it was inspired by the Facebook Developer blog’s layout. This is a blue and white, 3-columns, fixed-width (900 pixels wide) layout with the spirit of minimalism and revolution. I made up the “revolution” part. I don’t think this is worthy of submission to the WordPress Theme Directory, and I think I’ll save myself from any cease and desists.

Third, there’s no third. That’s it.

I’m not a writer, but I hope to post more content to this blog. If not useful content, at least funny ones. I tweet more than I blog. My timeline is on the second column over there. →
